When engineers at Federal Mogul contacted the Acme-Fab engineers, the need was clear: "make sure our brake backplates are clean and dry before we go to the adhesive coating process."

After collaboration, a stainless steel multi-stage conveyorized Acme-Fab Washer was created to process trays of brake backplates. The parts are loaded, washed, rinsed and dried in a low temperature dryer with high air volume to assure complete drying of the parts.

* High air volume drying

* Parts are air cooled below 90 degrees F to assure complete coverage and bonding of adhesive sprays

* A conveyor designed to provide large open area to the bottom of the parts that would not be present when using a conventional flat-wire conveyor belt.
